The EFSVALVES EF010 Sanitary Pressure Safety Valve is designed for hygienic process applications where pressure protection must be combined with suitable materials, controlled surface finish and sanitary connection geometry.
The valve is intended for pharmaceutical, food and beverage, cosmetic and laboratory applications, as well as other clean process environments where conventional industrial valve construction may not be the most appropriate option.
Sanitary pressure protection for hygienic process lines
In hygienic process installations, the safety valve forms part of a wider piping and equipment system where cleanliness, accessibility and material compatibility are important alongside the pressure-relief function.
The EF010 addresses these requirements with a dedicated sanitary configuration based on AISI 316L stainless steel, polished internal surfaces and hygienic clamp connections. This allows the valve to be integrated into sanitary process lines, vessels and auxiliary systems while maintaining the required pressure protection function.
AISI 316L and polished internal surfaces
The EF010 is manufactured in AISI 316L stainless steel, a material widely used in pharmaceutical, food, cosmetic and other hygienic processing environments.
The valve can be supplied with an internal surface finish down to Ra 0.38 µm, providing a smooth process-contact surface for applications where surface roughness forms part of the equipment specification. The combination of material and controlled surface finish supports integration into clean process environments where sanitary construction is an important selection criterion.
Hygienic clamp connections according to DIN 11866-C and ASME BPE dimensions
The EF010 is available with hygienic clamp connections according to DIN 11866-C / ASME BPE dimensions. This connection architecture is commonly used in sanitary process systems where compact assembly, accessibility and rapid disassembly are required.
The dimensional reference is particularly relevant in pharmaceutical, food and beverage, cosmetic and laboratory installations, where connection geometry often forms part of the piping specification.

For hygienic applications, material and documentation requirements may be defined in addition to the pressure-relief duty. The EF010 can be supplied with FDA-compliant materials where applicable to the specified configuration.
For European installations, the valve can also be supplied in accordance with the applicable Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) requirements. The exact certification and documentation scope should be defined according to the project and application requirements.
Sizes for sanitary process installations
The EF010 range is available in sizes from 3/4" to 3", covering a variety of sanitary process lines and equipment. Connection size is only one part of the selection process: required capacity, pressure, temperature and process conditions must also be considered before defining the final valve configuration.
A dedicated sanitary PSV configuration
The EF010 extends the EFSVALVES pressure safety valve range into applications where hygienic construction is required.
