In October 2019, EFSVALVES participated in the IDA World Congress 2019 on Desalination and Water Re-use, held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from 20 to 24 October 2019 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The event was hosted by Dubai Electricity & Water Authority, DEWA, and brought together companies, utilities, engineering firms, technology providers and specialists from the global desalination and water reuse industry.
For EFSVALVES, this event represented a highly valuable opportunity to strengthen its positioning in the desalination, seawater reverse osmosis, SWRO, and water treatment markets. The exhibition allowed us to present valve solutions for applications where corrosion resistance, material selection and long-term reliability are critical.
During the congress exhibition, EFSVALVES presented its range of Super Duplex valves for desalination and SWRO applications, including ball valves, globe valves, needle valves and safety valves. EFSVALVES participated in the exhibition area alongside Cast Flow, a Spanish manufacturer specialised in check valves for desalination applications, reinforcing a complementary technical approach to seawater and water treatment projects.
The solutions presented were aimed at demanding seawater services, high chloride environments and process conditions commonly found in desalination plants, water treatment facilities and industrial water systems.
Super Duplex materials play a key role in desalination projects due to their high resistance to corrosion, pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride-rich environments. For this reason, they are frequently considered in critical areas of seawater reverse osmosis plants, intake systems, high-pressure lines, chemical dosing systems, brine circuits and auxiliary services.
EFSVALVES also used the event to present its broader technical approach to desalination projects: combining suitable materials, correct valve selection, pressure protection, project documentation and support for EPC contractors, OEMs, plant operators and specialist distributors.
The exhibition was an excellent opportunity to meet customers, partners and industry professionals from the Middle East, Europe and other regions active in water infrastructure and desalination development.
