As part of our Archive News / Company History section, we look back at an important milestone in the development of Engineering Fluid Solutions, S.L.
In May 2009, EFS achieved ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 certification, issued by Bureau Veritas Certification, strengthening both its quality management system and environmental management system.
Certified Scope
The certified scope covered the design, manufacturing and commercialisation of sealing products and industrial valves for fluid sealing and control, an area directly linked to the company’s technical and industrial activity.
Obtaining ISO 9001:2008 represented the consolidation of a working method based on quality, traceability, process control, continuous improvement and customer focus.
Quality and Environmental Management
This milestone was particularly significant because it also included ISO 14001:2004 certification, showing an early awareness of environmental management in an industrial sector where efficiency, document control, impact reduction and operational responsibility were becoming increasingly important.
For EFS, holding both certifications represented an important step in its development as a technical supplier of industrial valves, sealing products, fluid sealing solutions and equipment for fluid regulation and control.
Project Confidence and Traceability
These certifications helped reinforce the confidence of customers, distributors, suppliers and partners, providing a stronger basis for project management, technical documentation, quality control, order traceability and the supply of reliable industrial solutions.
Looking back, the combination of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 reflects a key stage in the evolution of EFS towards a more structured, responsible and project-ready organisation, able to meet increasingly demanding industrial requirements.
